Morris Window and Siding's Entry Doors have either a Full Wood Frame or a Steel L-Frame
Entry Door Frames

Full Wood Frame
Full Wood Frame doors are designed to fit New Construction or Replacement openings. Replacing an existing door with a Full Wood Frame door will typically require removal of the old door frame, threshold, interior trim and the exterior trim or brickmold. The standard Full Wood Frame depth is 4-9/16" but optional frame depths up to 12-9/16" are available. Unless ordered with optional Wood Frame Cladding the Full Wood Frames are primed only.

Replacement Steel L-Frame (We only install with this method when necessary)
Steel L-Frame doors are designed to fit into an existing wood door frame and are not recommended for New Construction type openings (called Rough Openings). Installing a Steel L-frame door should only require the removal of the old door slab, interior trim (if any) and the existing threshold. On finished (painted or stained) Steel L-frame doors the Steel L-frame is painted to match the inside color of the door and the aluminum weatherstripped stops are painted to match the outside color of the door.

Magnetic Weatherstripping
Magnetic weatherstripping on the lock edge and top edge of our steel door units and the compression bulb weatherstripping along the hinge edge are made of weather-resistant TPE rubber.

Q-Lon Compression Weatherstripping
The weatherstripping on the fiberglass door is made of energy-efficient Q-Lon same as our replacement windows.

Each of our doors are equipped with an exclusive bulb & blade bottom sweep. This sweep comes with a unique drip edge to deflect water from coming in. The sweep is made from dual durometer rubber which means that it’s hard rubber on the top, and soft on the bottom, and virtually eliminates air & moisture leakage, making your home more comfortable. Our corner seal is the most efficient you’ll find for keeping moisture, air, and dirt out of your home.

Each of our full wood frames comes standard with a 20-gauge security plate for our wood frame to provide extra strength and to help prevent kick-ins.

To reinforce the lock and deadbolt area, we add commercial gauge steel lock box to our 20-gauge doors, and a composite lock block to our 22 and 24-gauge steel doors.

The lock and deadbolt area is reinforced with a solid block of wood for improved security.

Adjustable Strike Plate

We include a solid brass fully adjustable strike plate of our own exclusive design.
This unique 2-piece construction makes our doors easier to custom fit.

 (Pictured from left to right) Brass Sahara™ heavy-duty extruded threshold, and Sahara™ heavy-duty extruded thresholdOur Sahara™ heavy-duty extruded threshold has a 1-1/2" thermal barrier oak-like riser that will not warp or rot while providing excellent energy efficiency. Also available with an anodized brass finish.
