Windows are NFRC rated, certified and labeled for both U-factor (heat loss) and
solar heat gain (heat from sunlight). The ENERGY STAR® label and NFRC was
created as a joint effort by the US Department of Energy and the US Environmental
Protection Agency. The ENERGY STAR® and NFRC Window Program is designed
to help consumers identify energy efficient windows and doors.
- ENERGY STAR® labeled
windows and doors, like Morris Windows, are 40% more efficient than products
required under the most common national building codes.
- New Jersey (NJ) is in
the North Zone and requires all windows to have a “U” rating of .22 by Jan, 1st 2010
Morris Window installs Double Hung windows that have a U.18 rating (as shown
in label on right, “vertical slider” is the universal name for double
